How to use wordok image tools

This page is the long-form UX manual for our browser toolbox. Short version: your files stay on your device while we draw with the Canvas API. Last updated .

Why this exists

Most “free online editors” ask you to upload first and explain privacy later. We invert that: value proposition is fast local edits for screenshots, drafts, and social crops — especially when you do not want a random CDN holding passport scans or family photos.

Watermark — step by step

  1. Open the watermark page (cleaner than hunting tabs inside the hub).
  2. Drop an image. You should see a live preview — if not, check that the file is a supported raster type.
  3. Set text (brand, “draft”, date). Prefer short marks; long sentences collide on mobile widths.
  4. Tune opacity (≈0.35–0.55 for photos) and slight rotation (−20° to −35°) so marks are harder to crop out casually.
  5. Use Tile for portfolio protection; use a corner position for subtle credit lines.
  6. Download PNG. If you need JPG for email limits, convert on the hub afterward.

FAQ

Is this a full Photoshop replacement?

No. It is a privacy-first utility belt. For layers, masks, and print color management, use a desktop suite — see our image tools scorecard.

Do you store my images for “quality improvement”?

No upload path means we never receive the bytes to store.
